The Young Leader scheme is an on-going program of training, designed to enable Young Leaders to work effectively in the Section that they choose.
Who can take part in the scheme?
Explorer Scouts aged between 14 to 18 years can become Young Leaders. They can help in the Beaver Scout, Cub Scout, and Scout Sections. Young Leaders are still Explorer Scouts and are encouraged to take part in the Balanced Program provided by their District.
They are also members of the District Young Leaders Unit.
Although the various modules are being done through courses, we have decided that the missions are best done at group level. The missions are important as young leaders have to do them to get the young leader buckle.
These missions are all about using the various elements of the modules and putting them into practice. When a young leader has completed a mission please e-mail me so I can mark it on my database.
